British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople announced on late Wednesday. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his promoter had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

This update on his health comes as the boxing community offered its support for the star in the following the devastating accident.
