Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, adding that he could not remember "a single day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order placed a restriction on the cases to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public figures offered different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
