The families of teens unaccounted for after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are enduring an agonising wait for confirmed information and appealing for information about their family members publicly.

The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed images reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the disaster, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another 119. Authorities noted on Friday that the majority of the injured have been identified, with work continuing to name the other six.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on online platforms to request clues about their friends who were in attendance that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

Her sibling has published an urgent request on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
